Ten typefaces I recently found and absolutely love

Because I spend quite a bit of my day online (too much perhaps) I’m always finding new typefaces, either new releases or ones I didn’t simply know yet. It’s a bit like finding a new song you really like. And just as you cannot have too many good songs in you’re library, it’s impossible to have too many typefaces. ;)
Sharing is important so here are ten typefaces I recently found and really enjoy:
New Finds
This font has so many options; I love it when I can customize all the things. A lot of time and effort has been put into Repro and you can tell, no matter what you write it just looks soooo good.

I cannot get enough of subtly rounded sans serif font. They’re just so friendly yet professional and usable in a wide variety of designs. Often I have to stop myself from trying to use them for every branding project…
The website is in Portuguese so not sure what the designers had in mind. To me Carbona is both futuristic yet human due to how the typeface is purposely not perfectly geometrical.
This typeface looks great in bold, super thin, capitals, lower case, and everything in between. Quite the feature for a typeface in general, but especially one with a distinct early 20th century vibe.
As a child of the 80’s this typeface sure pushes some of my nostalgia buttons. But don’t be fooled, this is a high-quality and carefully crafter typeface that comes in 70 (!) different weights. Yet it somehow costs a mere 40 bucks?!
The high x-hight (small difference between upper and lower case) makes Franie look rather chunky, which I love. Makes for a very distinct branding typeface and it often works really well for brand names.
Another high x-hight typeface that even includes an extremely fat weight. This typeface just looks so good to me and that lower case ‘k’ just tops it off. One of my very fav recent typeface finds.
According to the website Jokker also has a high x-hight so I guess I just have a weak spot for them? The shape of the a, f, J, and the r show that this is a more playful take on the geogrotesque style. It’s just so much fun to look at and yet it does not feel unprofessional.
This typeface looks so crisp and clean it feels like my eyes have been upgraded. Been using this typeface for some recent logo proposals and this typeface just works.
At the surface it might look like another rounded geometric sans serif. Publica Sans Rounded actually has a very wild side as can be seen above. This makes it a perfect candidate for branding and headline projects.
The End
It’s been a while! Glad to be back with another issue and thank you for reading. As always, let me know if you’ve got any feedback, questions, or comments.
The two Creative Market links above were affeliate links. I only share stuff I really like and I’m just curious if people actually buy fonts.
See you next time. 👋
